Helping Guide Premarital Couples Before "I DO"

About Your Counselor

Welcome! My name is Julianna Navarro and I am passionate about providing couples in the Austin area with exquisite premarital counseling!

As your premarital counselor, my job is to help you grow your relationship by teaching you the necessary skills to strengthen your connection with your partner. My premarital counseling course uses a modern approach to integrate growth in relationship trust, communication, intimacy, and vulnerability.

You can expect our sessions to naturally integrate mindfulness-based practices such as awareness and acceptance of the self & others. Your time in our premarital sessions will be personally tailored to meet your relationship needs before you say "I Do".

What We Offer Couples

Premarital sessions are private sessions held between the counselor and an engaged couple.

During your sessions you can expect to feel heard, understood, and validated both as an individual and within your partnership. Together, you and your partner will learn and practice the skills to strengthen the core of relationship trust, communication, intimacy and vulnerability.

The counselor recommends 6 sessions to complete the premarital course material. Upon completion, the couple will receive a personalized binder outlining their specific relationship skills they mastered and a certificate from Austin Modern Premarital Counseling.

Sessions: $125/hr

Online and in-person sessions available!

Couples Skills Seminar

The couples skills seminar is perfect for couples who prefer attending a short, one-time online class that is open to a group of other couples (maximum group: 4 couples).

During this seminar the counselor will mainly focus on helping couples secure healthy communication skills. You can expect to learn how to identify communication patterns that are not effective in a relationship, and gain a complete understanding of how to practice effective communication with your partner.

Seminar: $175/couple

Online only, 2 hours in length

Healthy Couples Maintenance Session

Healthy maintenance sessions are completely normal and even ENCOURAGED to help you and your partner maintain your strong connection.

Research suggests that couples who attend regular counseling sessions report having greater satisfaction in their relationship overall, leading to a better quality of life.

It has also been shown that there is greater effectiveness in the outcome of a couples session when the session serves as a preventative measure, rather than a session from a treatment-based approach. This means that it's better to take a proactive approach with your partner by attending regular maintenance sessions, rather than waiting until you feel like there is something wrong in the relationship.

The counselor recommends scheduling a healthy couples maintenance session once per month.

Sessions: $150/hr

Online and in-person sessions available!
